Georgian toleware spice box
From an age when spices were a valuable purchase, circa 1820.
A metal spice box that still retains remnants of its original ruby paint finish. Brass carrying handle to lid with a hasp lock to the front allowing a lock to passed through if required.
To the interior six separate storage containers with delightful ring pull handles.
Mace, cloves, allspice, ginger, cinnamon and nutmegs.
