A superb console table with so much of life’s history to show.
Where has this table come from? Possibly an 18th century country house, it definitely has the look and quality. Was it previously painted or gilded?
Of pine and mahogany construction now bleached to a pleasing pale tone. Evidence of previous use and wear. Substantial piece of thick marble with striking veins throughout.
Condition report……. losses and repairs to the woodwork, old repair to the marble top and nibbles to the edges…….but in our opinion all the better for it, faded grandeur at its finest.
