Large Stripped Pine School Cupboard

Category: Tags: , , ,

A large item of antique pine offering plenty of storage, standing at over 1m high and 1.5m in length.

Originally a school cupboard this piece dates to circa 1900. When it came to us, as is often the case a previous owner had stripped away the original paint and replaced it with thick, treacly varnish. This had to go and we have once again stripped the exterior to the bare timber. To the inside of the doors and shelves thankfully the original paint colour can be found.

This all means the piece can be used as is, it could be waxed or repainted. We are happy to supply the cupboard as in this raw state or would be equally pleased to provide a costing to complete the finishing as per your requirements.

As can be seen in the images this piece has had a working life, evidence of previous use, bumps, scrapes and staining are all part of its character. Splice repair t0 0ne door.
