An interesting toleware Victorian pedestal presented with its original faux paint finish in imitation of blond satinwood and burr walnut.
The whole being constructed of metal apart from the solid mahogany top. To the front, a hinged door conceals a fitted interior of shelves and two drawers.
A truly unusual piece of decorative furniture. In good overall condition considering age, evidence of previous use and re-touching of gold edges. Key not present.
