Felix Dennis was a diverse collector of early oak furniture, fine oil paintings as well as contemporary pieces. He was amongst many things most famous for being one of the original editors of Oz Magazine, the underground 1960s publication. He was charged in the longest running conspiracy trial in British legal history, jailed and eventually released in no small part to John Lennon and John Mortimer.
