A wonderful pair of handmade, wrought iron trestles circa 1900 used as a base for a dining table.
The top being made of reclaimed hardwood blocks, themselves being estimated at 60-90 years old. None of the wood blocks have been sanded, just cleaned and waxed. This has kept the surface character of their previous life…….natural wear, stains, scratches and holes are visible to the surface but create a unique table. As well the blocks do very slight differences to their thickness.
Quite an industrial piece of furniture but a true one, off piece.
