A finely made Victorian reading stand constructed in brass, cast iron and oak. The attractive base retains its two porcelain casters allowing for ease of movement.
The fully adjustable oak surface means this piece doubles as a reading stand or equally a side table.
Presented in country house condition, the brass pole and ribbed finial still retain some of their original gilt surface. A little damage to the pole as detailed in the images does not detract from what is a hugely decorative piece of Victorian library furniture. All the adjustable joints work perfectly and the oak surface displays a lovely aged colour,
