Delightful Portrait of Mother & Son

A charming study of a Victorian lady with her young son,

Completed by a skilled artist however the piece is not signed. Using the style of the sitters dress we estimate a date of approx 1860.

To the verso, written in pencil reads the legend ?Jimmy Robarts and Mother.

Oil on canvas that has been  laid to a wooden panel. The painting is in good condition and to the frame minor evidence of wear with old repairs.
